This should be the download link, it doesn’t show up for me though. –
I might be a little late on this game, but I thought it was special enough to warrant its own video. It’s one of the only promising Mega Man 7 style fangames I’ve seen. With three playable characters and some pretty cool bosses, it did look good. Sadly, it seems development halted a long time ago, but it might still be worth checking out.
First up, an intro stage? Yeah, this follows Mega Man 7 quite accurately. It’s honestly pretty basic throughout. There aren’t any trouble spots whatsoever and you should have no problem getting through. Same for the boss actually. Though it is a strange idea. A giant traffic cone?
Zaiaku Man has an awesome visual design. He is the only functional stage at the moment. This stage for the most part is pretty tame. In my opinion though, it feels very flat. Especially the beginning. You’re just running forward and shooting for about 30 seconds. The biggest problem I have with this stage though is the room with the tackle fires. At first, they seem predictable. But at some point they diverge from the nice pattern they were in and turn random. I’m not sure why or what causes it, but I find it’s easier to take a hit and run by. Apart from that, there’s not too much wrong with this stage.
Zaiaku Man has the powers and fire and shadow, and his difficulty sure reflects his awesome powers. This guy is tough, but he has a set pattern. Fighting him is mainly a case of timing and except for the first fire attack, this guy is reasonably avoidable. I know I messed this up (come on, it was my 2nd/3rd playthrough) but to avoid the fire dash, you should jump in the direction he is moving in order to avoid the fire pillars. Overall, dull and annoying stage, but one heck of a boss battle. Stay tuned for a new playthrough coming in around a week.
